I haven’t been painting this week. I’m down with sore throat and fever so I’ve been resting a lot. Last Sunday I was at Orvin’s place and I did a few observationals of my hands and I also drew him sleeping but the mouth part doesn’t really look much like his. :( It’s good for practice I guess.
If you’ve noticed, I’ve been posting works of some of my favorite and newly discovered artists - visit the tag. I hope you don’t mind the flood. I’ve changed my tumblr layout. It’s easier to navigate now. :D

Have you ever used charcoal?

Yes I have. :) I did a work a few months before just to try it out. I don’t really understand the medium very much especially on ingres/toothed paper. Though I like it on vellum because it really sticks there. I like willow sticks because they’re soft and it’s easier to smudge and erase. But to be honest it’s an incredibly difficult medium for me. I can barely draw bodies with it. But I heard from others that it should be moderately easy. I’m probably doing it wrong. Here’s a work I did before:
